"It is hard to believe that 11 months have passed since I accepted Scott Neil's offer of being the Director of Hockey Operations for the Edinburgh Capitals. I can vividly recall making calls to complete strangers named Colin, J.F., Adam, Mike (etc) trying to persuade them to play professional hockey in your city. A city I called home for the last year. Those names became faces, and those faces became teammates, and as a team we accomplished more than any other Edinburgh Capitals team has ever done. It was a season full of ups and downs and it was never boring. The Edinburgh Capitals are better off today than they were a year ago. ........"

The Edinburgh Capitals joined forces with teams including Hibs, Hearts and Edinburgh rugby teams to launch the local council initiative, Activcity at Meadowbank stadium on Wednesday 22nd April.

The bmibaby Elite Ice Hockey League 2007-08 season finished with the stunning playoff finals at the start of April. September will see the next competitive game and already plans are well under way for clubs to enhance the competition and deliver even greater entertainment for the fans.

Basingstoke forward Greg Owen chose the perfect time to score his first professional hat trick as GB demolished Holland 8-1 and in doing so set up a possible Silver medal game against Kazakhstan on Saturday. ( depending on the result tonight between Austria and Kazakhstan otherwise Bronze medal game ).

The SPHL Edinburgh Capitals will be taking on the Dundee Stars on Sunday 13th April at Murrayfield Ice Rink. Face off is at 18:00 and tickets cost £8 adults and £5 kids.
This game is the second leg of the SPHL Play Off Semi Finals with the first leg in Dundee on Saturday 12th April.
