Hartmann brings back Jordan Steel

Richard Hartmann has wasted no time in building the Edinburgh Capitals 13/14 squad and has started his British signings with the return of Jordan Steel. Steel has six seasons under his belt as a forward for the Capitals and shows improvement every year.

Richard Hartmann said, "Jordan has had a great season and I am happy with his continued development. He is maturing into a reliable player who will contribute more as his strength and confidence grows and I am expecting Jordan to take another step forward next year."

Jordan is delighted with the opportunity to sign with the Capitals for season 2013/14. He commented, "Richard Hartmann is a great coach and an inspirational and demanding but fair man, working with him for another season is something I am really looking forward to, that added to the core guys potentially returning from last season I think can really take the club forward.

"My contribution to games last season and playing alongside some really great guys gave me real confidence which i intend building on for this coming season. I have a summer programme to work to which will focus on me building up my strength.

"I have benefited from the support of a great sponsor in Nicholson Brothers of Grange Road who have continued to support me over the years which I really appreciate.

Our fans are brilliant and giving them something to cheer about again this season would be great."

Nicholson Brothers are a local Edinburgh electrical business located at Grange Road. Stewart Nicholson would encourage other local businesses to get involved in sponsoring the Capitals. He said "Ice hockey is a wonderful sport and having an Elite League team in Edinburgh is a great asset and something we as a city should get behind"
