Kieran Black picked for the Edinburgh Capitals Academy

Kieran Black is the latest player to be picked up for a place in the Edinburgh Capitals Academy. Black has both trained and played with Murrayfield Junior Ice Hockey Club from the Under 12s to the Under 18s. He was also being awarded a place in the 17s Scotland team last season.

Black commented, "I am delighted to be given the chance to progress my career and in my ambition to becoming a Capitals player. Being selected for a place in the Capitals Academy is a great award. I look forward to expanding my hockey knowledge and training along with the other players in the Academy and hopefully raising my standards to the expectations of the Capitals team coach. If I work hard I will reach my goal and start training with the Elite team players regularly and eventually gain a full time place in the Edinburgh Capitals Elite League team."
