Rajcak

The departure of Andrej Rajcak is disappointing I do not blame Andrej. He had a good opportunity and he took it. I am not happy with his club announcing it before us. We have not done that to other teams. I was going to hold Andrej back if he did not play against Basingstoke. He wanted to play to help the team. His new club wanted him yesterday. His professionalism will hopefully help us win in Basingstoke.

We will be very short bodies this weekend. We will not have Roman Nesrsta because of an injury he sustained against Newcastle. Mark Garside and Craig Mitchell are representing their country in the World Championships. Many players are going to get the chance for additional ice time.

Tomorrow is a huge game. I expect both team to play their best and it should be another great game between the clubs. The players need your support now more than ever as we head into the stretch drive.

Finally, we are actively looking to bring in a replacement as soon as possible. Andrej told me late Wednesday night. Since then, I have been actively working to find a good replacement.

It is unlikely we will have a new player for the weekend. I want to make sure that we bring in a player who will help us win not just a player who takes a spot in the line-up.

As a team we have been playing much better. We are 4-3 in our last seven games and have taken points off both Sheffield and Belfast in the last month. I am hopeful that we will continue or winning ways in a very tough stretch of games, highlighted by tomorrow nights contest.
